Akamai has strengthened its API security offerings by acquiring Israeli start-up Neosec.
The two companies will merge their solutions to provide customers with visibility and protection against API attacks.
Neosec's co-founders, Giora Engel and Ziv Sivan, will join Akamai's Security Technology unit.
Mani Sundaram, EVP and GM of Akamai Technologies' Security Technology Group, stated, "Combining Neosec's platform with Akamai's application security portfolio will enable customers to gain full visibility into APIs, analyze their behavior, and defend against API attacks."
The acquisition is anticipated to be finalised in the second quarter of 2023.
