RingCentral has appointed Tarek Robbiati, formerly of HPE, as its new CEO, succeeding company founder Vlad Shmunis, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.
Before HPE, Robbiati (pictured), who joined RingCentral's board in December 2022, held roles at Sprint Corp and various leadership positions at publicly listed and private companies in Australia and Hong Kong.
Rob Theis, Lead Independent Director of RingCentral, said: “As we planned for Vlad’s transition to the Executive Chairman role, it was critical that we find a CEO who could lead the next phase of our growth. We strongly believe Tarek is the right executive for this role.”
Additionally, RingCentral's President and COO, Mo Katibeh, will step down but remain an advisor for a smooth transition.
