ABBYY has moved all UK and Ireland commercial and government distribution of its FineReader and FineReader Server products to Sigma Software Distribution.
ABBYY’s technology offers businesses document conversion, comparison and PDF editing tools, with customers including Deloitte, Balfour Beatty Rail and global legal firm Eversheds. Sigma first took on ABBYY's technology in 2012.
Kristin Wagener, senior director for global application software sales at ABBYY, said: “With its extensive customer base, deep technical expertise and market knowledge, Sigma gives us a market reach which will help grow our business across the UK and Ireland. We are pleased to extend our partnership.”
Jane Silk, managing director at Sigma Software Distribution, said: “We’ve worked together for seven years now and have seen the channel business develop. We’re looking forward to strengthening our relationship even further and growing the FineReader and FineReader Server business.”
This deal follows two other vendor announcements from Sigma earlier in the year. RealVNC appointed Sigma as its preferred distributor in January and Teamwork went exclusive with Sigma at the same time.
ABBYY maintains offices in Australia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, the UK, Ukraine and the US.
