Nine in 10 IT channel leaders are doubling down on their efforts to build resilience amid changes, scoring it seven or above out of 10 on the barometer, Agilitas’ new ‘CONNECT for Stronger Resilience’ report reveals.
In Agilitas’ latest survey of 250 channel leaders working in UK-headquartered businesses, decision-makers also revealed they remain optimistic about IT Channel businesses’ ability to build a resilient business model to survive external factors, achieving an overall score of 7.4 out of 10.
Agilistas’ latest ‘Channel Confidence Index: New Horizons’ report, which launched in April 2021, also revealed that this is being driven from the top-down, with 45% of all CEO/MDs surveyed giving 10 out of 10 for confidence in the channel’s resilience movements in the months ahead.
The findings, conducted in partnership with leading research firm Opinion Matters in 2019, also found that Covid-19 forced decision-makers to focus more on future resilience plans, with 80% of respondents ranking between seven to 10, where 10 was the most significant score.
“The last two years have taught us a valuable lesson in what it means to be resilient, both in business and everyday life,” said Shaun Lynn (pictured), CEO of Agilitas. “For the UK IT Channel, there is no doubt that this change has forced leaders to place a sharp focus on how they ensure the safety of their business and plan for any eventuality that might impact their people, planet and partners.”
The report also found that IT resellers were taking the most proactive approach, with 66% of IT resellers planning at least quarterly. This was followed by MSPs (60%) with almost a third (29%) planning annually, general technology solution providers (58%), IT distributors (54%) and independent software providers (49%).
“It is hugely positive to see decision-makers show such commitment to growing stronger, more adaptable and buoyant in a world of continuous change,” Lynn added. “Should the sentiment in our findings become reality, we are certainly on the precipice of a more resilient and sustainable ecosystem.”
The global channel services provider said it will be releasing further findings in an upcoming ‘how-to’ guide, ‘CONNECT For Enhanced Experiences’, the final instalment of this three-part series for its IT Channel insight campaign.
