Arrow Electronics now has a distribution agreement with Puppet, infrastructure automation provider. The exclusive collaboration covers Europe, Middle East and Africa. By adding Puppet to its offering, Arrow aims to open up new opportunities for its IT channel customers to combine solutions from vendors with widely used options for automating their enterprise customers’ business processes.
According to Puppet, more than 40,000 companies worldwide including three-quarters of the Fortune 100 rely on Puppet`s technology and related products for automating infrastructure and application delivery. The Puppet Enterprise solution allows companies to deliver and manage almost any infrastructure at scale with both agentless and agent-based automation in a single platform and to enforce security and compliance policies, it says.
Arrow will also distribute Puppet Remediate - a solution that helps IT operations teams prioritise and remediate security vulnerabilities at scale. Channel customers will also gain access to Nebula, Puppet`s solution to automate the delivery of cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
“In an increasingly complex IT landscape, automating actions across infrastructure at every layer and across every surface is more important than ever before," stated Paul Heywood, Chief Revenue Officer, Puppet. “Arrow understands the needs faced by CIOs, DevOps, networking and security teams and the criticality of automation and orchestration working in harmony with virtualisation, cloud, analytics and security stacks, along with the other tools and workflows those enterprise teams have in place today.”
“Arrow’s portfolio and Puppet perfectly tie into each other given Puppet is teaming with the world’s leading vendors by automising configurations of their solutions,” says Alexis Brabant, vice president sales of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in EMEA. “Puppet managed to become an industry standard that works across all infrastructures and vertical businesses. We look forward to working with Puppet as we are increasing our focus on IT automation and secure DevOps in our overall solutions mix for both on-premise and multi-cloud environments.”
