Atos and OVHcloud have joined forces to bring cloud services to enterprises and public organisations worldwide. Under the partnership the French companies say they are creating a “100% European multi-cloud solution” based on “sovereign infrastructures”.
International clients will benefit from the two companies’ global footprint with access to a joint network of more than 130 data centres to host their data and services.
As founding members of GAIA X, the European association for data and cloud, Atos and OVHcloud are collaborating to provide compliance guarantees to the future GAIA-X framework and for EU privacy regulations like GDPR. Atos will offer cyber-security solutions hosted by OVHcloud to enhance the digital security of cloud services.
Yannick Tricaud, chief executive officer for Atos in Southern Europe, said: “Tomorrow’s businesses will be cloud-first and data driven, magnifying the need for a trusted digital infrastructure and services that can be tailored to their specific requirements in terms of SLAs, security, sovereignty and scalability.
“Our collaboration relies on strong synergies and together we will embark our customers on a circle of digital trust through our European cloud offering.”
Michel Paulin, chief executive officer at OVHcloud, added: “Atos expertise and technological excellence combined with OVHcloud’s powerful ecosystem, sovereign infrastructures and cutting-edge multi-cloud products will bring real added value to the market.”
Both companies recently signed the pan-European Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact which is supported by the European Commission.
