Avaya has moved its European channels head to the role of managing director for its UK and Ireland business. As the new MD, Steve Joyner will report to Ronald Rubens, vice president of Europe.
Joyner began at Avaya following the acquisition of Nortel in 2009. In a 30-year career he has held several engineering, sales and channel roles in the UK and the Middle East. In his previous European channel role at Avaya he led a team of regional channel managers to expand the company's channel business and improve its channel programmes for partners.
Ronald Rubens said: “Steve’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Avaya with our transition to cloud and the strategic partnership with RingCentral and the introduction of Avaya Cloud Office. With his extensive industry experience Steve will be instrumental in delivering our global cloud-first strategy in the region.”
Joyner said: “I look forward to working with the team here to drive growth and bring even more value to our partners and customers in the UK and Ireland with our full suite of cloud-first solutions.”
