Capita cashes in with Security Watchdog sale

Capita has sold Security Watchdog to Bridgepoint-owned Matrix for £14m to focus on its two core divisions - Capita Public Service and Capita Experience - and strengthen its balance sheet.

Jon Lewis, CEO of Capita, said that the sale is "another step" in its "successful disposals programme". 

Security Watchdog’s senior team and employees will stay with the business as ownership transfers to Matrix.

Lewis added: “We are targeting the majority of the remaining businesses within our non-core Portfolio division to be sold during the first half of 2023, depending on general market conditions.”

Capita recently offloaded its Pay360, real estate/infrastructure consultants, Optima Legal and Capita Translation/Interpreting businesses.
