Citrix has appointed Carole Valette as its new area vice president for Northern Europe, responsible for sales and services operations in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.
Reporting to Sherif Seddik, senior vice president and managing director for Citrix EMEA, she will work closely with the internal team and the partner ecosystem at Citrix to drive cloud adoption, as well as grow and develop the Citrix sales and services organisation within the region.
Valette (pictured) succeeds Michelle Senecal de Fonseca, who has been promoted to the role of vice president for global cloud innovation strategic partnerships.
Valette said: “With its people-centric solutions, Citrix powers a better way to work and enables customers and partners to transform their businesses in the era of hybrid work.
“I look forward to working together with the local teams, customers and partners across Northern Europe, to grow our joint business and strengthen the Citrix leadership position in the market.”
Valette joins Citrix from VMware, where she spent five years, most recently as senior director for commercial sales across Northern EMEA. Prior to this, she held roles at HPE Software, Cisco, WorldCom and IBM, both in the UK and her native France.
In her role at HPE Software, she was responsible for working with partners to drive EMEA channel sales, and will bring this expertise to Citrix to maintain and grow its own partnerships, said Citrix.
Seddik said of her appointment: “Carole's extensive sales and leadership experience will prove invaluable for our next chapter in Northern Europe.
“She will be instrumental in supporting continued growth for the company and delivering the best outcomes for our customers, enabling them to deliver a consistent and secure work experience which allows employees to do their best work, wherever they are.”
