Climb Channels in Puppet deal

Distributor Climb Channel Solutions has sealed a new partnership with Puppet, the infrastructure automation specialist.

By adding Puppet's platform and solution to its offering, Climb says it will open up new opportunities for its resellers, including the ability to “scale” DevOps, “reduce risk”, enforce policies as code and manage and evolve cloud strategies, regardless of the environment.

More than 40,000 companies, including 80% of the Global 5,000, are said to rely on Puppet's technology for automating and orchestrating infrastructure and application delivery. Puppet's platform integrates with existing technology investments to standardise and scale varying IT environments. Puppet Enterprise Platform integrations and managed technologies are designed to make sure all key automation technologies work together.

Paul Heywood, chief revenue officer at Puppet, said: "As organisations expand their cloud strategies and scale their DevOps initiatives, they're finding challenges in meeting security and compliance standards. Infrastructure stacks, tools and processes are getting more complicated.

"We couldn't be more excited to partner with a distributor who knows the challenges of infrastructure, operations and development teams today.”

Dale Foster, CEO of Climb Channel Solutions, said: "I’m confident that Puppet will become a foundational addition to our software and application lifecycle suite of offerings."

Earlier this month, Climb took on SUSE's open source solutions including its Linux operating system, Kubernetes management platform and a host of edge technologies. Last month, US-headquartered Climb acquired UK-headquartered Sigma Software Distribution and its sister companies as it aimed to expand its EMEA business.
