Cloud Distribution’s former Managing Director and co-founder Scott Dobson has left the company under a mutual and good-natured agreement. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Fellow co-founder, Greg Harris, takes over the reins as the company accelerates its cloud-first strategy and is on target to exceed £20m+ Revenues. Adam Davison continues to be Sales and Marketing Director
Greg Harris, Managing Director, said: "Scott's contribution to Cloud Distribution's journey thus far cannot be underestimated. He's a true entrepreneur and a start-up genius. His specialism is in creating a business idea and establishing a firm foundation for growth. Almost a decade on from where he and I started, Scott's work with Cloud Distribution is done, and he's made the decision to move on to new ventures."
Cloud Distribution was founded in 2009 and most recently it has broadened its vendor portfolio to include a blend of newer, innovative players such as Pcysys, a new entrant to the pen-testing market, together with more-established brands, including Check Point Software, Aerohive Networks, Arista Networks and Blackberry Software. Other recent additions include CybSafe, Avi Networks, and HyTrust.
Cloud Distribution says it is well-positioned to continue to deliver on its Cloud First strategy, with its business built around two core technology growth areas - cyber security and networking solutions. This has already resulted in significant and rapid growth for the company. In 2017, it achieved record revenues of £14m, and is on track to post in excess of £20m turnover in 2018, representing circa 33% growth year over year.
2018 is proving to be another successful year for Cloud Distribution, it says, with many key achievements under its belt including:
• Awarded EMEA Distributor of the Year from Blackberry
• Winner of Best Cloud Distributor EMEA in Global Acronis Partner Awards
• Created a focused Cyber Security Machine Learning and AI product portfolio with vendors including PCYSYS, Vectra Networks and Cybsafe
• Recorded strong growth within its Data Protection portfolio from vendors including Altaro, Actifio, Acronis and Hytrust
• Continued interest and uptake in SD-WAN technology from Peplink and hyperconvergence solutions from Pivot3
• Strong take-up of its range of Partner Enablement services
Greg Harris concluded: "Our current trajectory is definitely one of continued rapid growth, through focusing our efforts on our existing Cyber Security and Networking vendor portfolio. As it stands today, we're on course to deliver our best revenue numbers yet."
