Security services vendor Darktrace has appointed Dan Monahan (pictured) as senior vice president of its global partner organisation. He will report to chief revenue officer Denise Walter.
He will oversee channel sales, technology alliances and strategic partners, and will be responsible for evolving the partner programme, as well as "driving growth with new partners and deepening relationships with existing partners", said the vendor.
Monahan joins Darktrace from cloud data management firm Cohesity, where he oversaw all aspects of the channel programme. He brings over 25 years of experience at technology firms, including leading the US effort around large solution providers and distributors at VMware.
The Darktrace partner ecosystem is made up of over 500 channel partners worldwide, including VARs, global systems integrators, managed security service providers and distributors.
Monahan said: "We have a significant opportunity ahead to harness the power of the channel to bring Darktrace’s unique self-learning AI to more businesses, to help them deliver autonomous, always-on cyber security."
