Fresh from its recent European acquisition, international distributor Climb Channel Solutions will now handle SUSE's open source solutions including its Linux operating system, Kubernetes management platform and a host of edge technologies.
Last month, US-headquartered Climb acquired UK-headquartered Sigma Software Distribution and its sister companies as it aimed to expand its EMEA business. Climb, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Wayside Technology Group, said it wanted to “accelerate” its cloud marketplace position and expand its physical footprint in EMEA. It already operated out of the Netherlands to support European partners.
SUSE says it is working with partners globally to power digital transformation for the enterprise by “simplifying, modernising and accelerating” cloud and edge solutions.
"SUSE's flexible business practices, lack of vendor lock-in and exceptional service have given us a great deal of confidence in our partnership," said Dale Foster, CEO of Climb Channel Solutions. "The addition allows us to provide technology that's both innovative and complementary, along with a full suite of training, consultation and support solutions to our resellers."
Joel Petlick, director of the Americas Channel at SUSE, said: "SUSE has entered a new phase of partnerships following the launch of the SUSE One Partner Program in September 2020.
“Climb is an ideal fit for our expansion by introducing SUSE to a partner base that is emerging technology-focused and providing distribution support that's agile and committed to our joint success. With Climb, we offer a new element of choice to partners and their customers."
