A new Westcon-Comstor survey reveals that 93% of channel partners view the EU's upcoming NIS2 cybersecurity directive as an opportunity for growth, despite a general lack of in-depth understanding of the directive.
The NIS2 is set to impact over 100,000 organisations in October later this year, emphasising stringent risk management and cyber hygiene requirements.
While 77% of partners foresee revenue opportunities through services and managed services, there are concerns about customer preparedness, with only 5% of partners feeling fully knowledgeable about NIS2.
Nevertheless, 65% believe NIS2 will bolster EU cybersecurity, with 76% viewing the directive positively.
Daniel Hurel (pictured), VP of Cyber Security & Next Gen Solutions EMEA at Westcon-Comstor, said: “From education and enablement to managed services, partners have an opportunity to add value by serving as a trusted advisor to their customers and demonstrating expertise.
“First, however, partners are quite rightly seeking to build their own understanding so they can seize the NIS2 opportunity equipped with the information they need.”
