Exertis has a new security audit service that resellers can take advantage of for their customers. It follows Exertis’ own Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME) Gold qualification, and its recognition as an accredited certification body of IASME.
Four of Exertis' professional services team are qualified as assessors to carry out audits. Exertis will offer a packaged service to end customers that delivers three accreditations: Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and IASME Gold at a fixed cost of £1800.
Exertis assessors can provide the audit for the end user and this could lead to an opportunity for the reseller to sell additional services and solutions if one of their customers fails the audit.
Jason Hill, Exertis sales director, security said: “SMEs are particularly vulnerable as they often don’t have the necessary resources or expertise to minimise the risks. In addition, more and more companies are looking for their suppliers to have a recognised cyber-security certification before engaging with them, so it’s becoming increasingly important, particularly with GDPR now in force.”
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks and show that they have taken precautionary steps. IASME governance demonstrates that a company has prepared for the introduction of GDPR by focusing on how data is collected, maintained and protected. Assessors need to have completed a GCHQ-certified training process with IASME, an accreditation body of the National Cyber Security Centre.
Exertis also provides a full range of professional services which resellers can white label designed to equip resellers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to service and support their own customers.
Last year, Exertis strengthened its relationship with security solutions vendor ESET by becoming a managed service provider distributor. ESET is a provider of security software for consumers and businesses from basic anti-virus and malware protection to multi-layered security.
