Infinigate has appointed Marco van Kalleveen as its new chief executive officer. The hire follows the decision by Klaus Schlichtherle to hand over the reins of the rapidly growing distributor after eight years as CEO.
Van Kalleveen brings over 20 years of leadership experience in Europe and in the US, including at McKinsey & Company, and, most recently, as group CEO of DKV Mobility, the European B2B platform for on-the-road payments and solutions. DKV Mobility generates €17 billion in transaction value, with 322,000 customers across 50 countries.
The appointment will take effect from 16 June, 2025. Klaus Schlichtherle said: “Having accomplished considerable milestones, I feel now is a good time to hand over the reins of this leading business with further exponential growth prospects. We have achieved a lot together, most notably through the acquisitions of Nuvias, Starlink, Vuzion and Wavelink, which have been critical in helping Infinigate establish itself as a global leader.”
Van Kalleveen added: “The organisation’s strong position in the cybersecurity market provides a great opportunity to accelerate growth as we work towards a stronger global leadership role with vendors and channel partners.”
Infinigate has just announced it will have distribution rights in Europe for Keepnet’s human risk management solution.
The deal will enable European channel partners to mitigate the risk of social engineering. With human error causing 95% of security breaches and rising threats like voice phishing threatening 70% of organisations, said Infinigate, Keepnet’s Extended Human Risk Management platform will empower end customers to “build a security culture that helps to eliminate employee-linked threats, insider risks, and social engineering”.
