Jobs Board 13 November, 2024: Big channel players make key hires

-Global channel services provider Agilitas IT Solutions has announced the appointment of Sara Wilkes as its new CEO.

With over 18 years of experience in the technology channel, and holding the position of Agilitas’ chief operating officer since the beginning of the year, her appointment is said to represent the next phase in the company’s ambitious growth strategy.

Prior to joining Agilitas, she held roles at Computacenter, and most recently at SCC as director of customer experience.

Wilkes said: “Agilitas has a unique position in the market due to its scalable inventory solutions and value added technical services. I am honoured to have been appointed as the company’s new CEO, having the opportunity to build on our exceptional success.”

“Sara has been a dynamic force in the organisation since joining as COO,” added Mark Dixon, chairman of Agilitas. “Her strategic vision, operational leadership, and deep understanding of the technology channel make her the ideal leader to steer the company forward. -Security distributor Infinigate Cloud has appointed Mathew Batterbee as VP alliances and GTM strategy. He has previously held senior roles at Microsoft, Ingram Micro Cloud, and Pax8.

“I am looking forward to working with a team with a stellar reputation, specialist skills and deep market knowledge,” said Batterbee.

Denis Ferrand-Ajchenbaum, CGO Infinigate Group and MD Infinigate Cloud, said: “The time is right to scale the unique value proposition of Infinigate Cloud, and support our wide network of 6,000+ MSPs in growing their business as well as accelerating the ramping up of our unique managed security services distributor (MSSD) role across EMEA.”

-Security vendor Sophos, has hired Andy Travers as regional vice president for EMEA North. Travers will will work closely with Sophos’ managed service providers to ensure that customers are equipped with the right security solutions to combat ransomware, data breaches, and other persistent cyber attacks.

Prior to joining Sophos, Travers was chief revenue officer at OSF Digital. Prior to that, he led sales organisations at Exclusive Networks, Juniper Networks, F5, and Fortinet.

Travers said: "With its outstanding reputation for innovation in cyber security technology and managed security services, Sophos is at the forefront of helping businesses protect themselves from ransomware, data breaches, and other high-risk cyber threats that could have devastating impacts. I will be collaborating closely with our channel partners, MSPs and global teams to accelerate revenue growth in the region."

-Premium IP telephony brand Snom, has named Fabio Albanini as its new vice president of sales. Albanini, who has been an integral part of the Snom senior exec team since 2009, will be responsible for the company’s global commercial strategy.

Albanini will focus on several objectives. These include growth in target markets by working closely with the product management and marketing departments, reinforcing Snom’s global partner network, and developing new sales channels. He is also aiming to improve business efficiencies, to better support Snom customers and optimise sales processes.
