
Data security services firm Forcepoint has appointed Tim Puccio as its new global channels leader. He brings over 25 years of experience, having previously been Delinea’s senior vice president of global channel and alliances.
Before Delinea, he was senior vice president of sales at Login VSI, and he has also held sales leadership roles at Fuze, Carbonite, and other firms.
Last November, Forcepoint appointed Ryan Windham as CEO, having previously been chief customer and strategy officer. He replaced Manny Rivelo, who moved to ConnectWise.
-TD Synnex has named Andy Brown as senior business unit director - data and applications, UK and Ireland. As well as overseeing this “fast-developing” area of the Advanced Solutions portfolio, Brown will take responsibility for TD Synnex’s Destination AI strategy.
For the past eight years, Brown has been technical services director, Advanced Solutions, UK.
Major vendor partners are making significant joint investments with the distributor to support Destination AI, an all-in-one programme that takes reseller partners on a “tailored journey of discovery and enablement”, and equips them to “articulate the benefits of AI with customers”, “uncover new potential”, and deliver solutions, said the firm.

-Barracuda Networks has announced the appointment of Peter Alexander as chief marketing officer (CMO).
He brings more than 25 years of experience driving growth for leading technology companies, including Fastly, Check Point, Harmonic, and Cisco. As CMO, Alexander is responsible for scaling Barracuda’s market growth strategy and execution.
“Peter joins Barracuda at a pivotal time as we accelerate growth to meet increasing demand for our comprehensive cybersecurity platform,” said Hatem Naguib, CEO at Barracuda Networks.
-In another CMO move, Cohesity has named Carol Carpenter in the company role. She has more than 20 years of technology industry and marketing leadership experience, and is responsible for leading all aspects of the global marketing organisation, as the company builds on its number one position in the data protection market by market share, following the completion of its acquisition of the Veritas enterprise data protection business. Cohesity now leads Veeam in the stakes.
Carpenter joins Cohesity from her most recent role at Unity, where she also served as CMO. Prior to Unity, she was CMO at VMware. She also played a “significant role” in transforming Google Cloud from its early stages to a market leader, as a global vice president of marketing at Google, said Cohesity.
She has also held leadership and marketing roles at ElasticBox (acquired by CenturyLink), Trend Micro, Keynote Systems, Apple, and others.
At Cohesity, Carpenter will focus on driving increased brand awareness, refining go-to-market strategies, and creating programmes to drive demand generation.
-Version 1, the digital transformation specialist, has named Roop Singh as chief commercial officer. Singh will drive the company’s commercial strategy and spearhead global expansion as part of the firm’s growth plans.
Previously, Singh served as chief business officer and CEO of Americas at Birlasoft. At Version 1, he will lead the commercial team and work closely with the executive team to “accelerate sustainable growth”, the provider said.
