-Vectra AI, a player in AI-driven XDR (extended detection and response), has named Taj El-khayat as VP EMEA partner sales and alliances. El-khayat will work with channel partners, MSSPs, tech alliances, cloud alliances, and global systems integrators to meet increasing demand in EMEA for XDR solutions and customized cybersecurity services, to address today’s hybrid attack landscape.
The appointment follows the launch of the Vectra AI Clarity Programme for MSSPs, which will help partners deliver best-in-class XDR solutions. El-khayat said: “Against a security skills shortage, a surge in AI and cloud technologies, and increasingly complex, costly security stacks, organisations are struggling to prevent SOC team burnout and breaches.
“But, there’s a golden opportunity to empower our channel partners with comprehensive cybersecurity services that will reduce the burden for customers and protect against multi-surface attacks. As such, my first aim will be to transform our partner momentum to a revenue engine that allows us to multiply our go-to-market reach.”
Prior to joining Vectra AI in 2022 as area VP for South Europe, Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, he helped drive regional growth in senior roles at Citrix, Riverbed Technology, Juniper Networks, and Microsoft.

“What became clear early on in the CEO search is that Bill is a public company executive with a remarkable track record for driving growth across leading security organisations,” said Loris Degioanni, founder and CTO of Sysdig. “His expertise in scaling innovative technology platforms, deep understanding of the security sector, and customer-first focus makes him uniquely suited to serve as our next CEO.”
“When it comes to cloud security, seconds matter, not just for detecting threats, but also regarding how we show up for our customers, partners, and prospects,” Welch said. “Sysdig’s incredible team and thoughtful, technologically superior IP is built to solve the challenges of securing the cloud, and not retrofitted to meet them.”
