Nuvias extends advanced security offering with Gigamon

Nuvias is extending the breadth of its range of advanced networking and cybersecurity solutions by adding Gigamon, a provider of advanced visibility solutions for enterprise, government and service provider networks. The distribution deal covers the UK, France and Germany.

Getting intelligence across your complex structures of applications is the cornerstone to gaining access to efficient and secure networks, which is where Gigamon says it comes in.

Gigamon complements Nuvias’ portfolio, dovetailing nicely with Riverbed’s end user experience monitoring and network and application performance solutions and services.

John Mitchell, senior director for EMEA channel sales at Gigamon, said: “Nuvias has expertise across networking and cybersecurity, a solution-focussed approach and ecosystem alignment to create incremental value, opportunity and growth for the the channel in key markets.

“Our collaboration with Nuvias, and alliance partners like Riverbed, is essential to delivering an integrated offering with maximised end-user benefits.”

Paul Eccleston, executive chairman at Nuvias, said: “The addition is part of Nuvias’ strategy to build an ecosystem of technologies that work together to deliver solutions that will help customers create secure, application-ready networks that support their digital transformation.

“Gigamon will give users the ability to understand their infrastructure and application health, their business performance and network security, enabling them to make informed investment decisions and manage the change process to ensure a better return on their IT investments and a better service to their customers.”

Last month, Versa Networks chose Nuvias to bring its software-defined branch and software-defined security solution for wide area networks across EMEA. Silicon Valley-based Versa's SD-WAN solution enables enterprises to better manage their WAN costs while simplifying operations, enhancing network resiliency and improving application performance.
