Tech Data has formed a partnership with global cloud security and compliance outfit Armor to strengthen its offer in secure multiple public cloud platforms to the channel.
Tech Data's partners will now have access to Armor’s SaaS solutions, all of which are available on a consumption-basis. The distributor said Armor is “ideal” for organisations looking to adopt multi-cloud strategies, aligning with its focus on security and cloud enablement and adjacent technologies such as IoT.
Alison Nixon (pictured), business unit director for security at Tech Data UK, said: “Our partnership with Armor means our security practice is even better-equipped to support our entire partner ecosystem in providing completely secure multi-cloud environments for their customers. We can offer all the skills, resources and solutions partners require to give their customers peace-of-mind.”
“Armor keeps data safe wherever it resides,” said Mark Woodward, CEO of Armor, “organisations are able to cut their security technology costs and meet compliance mandates at a fraction of the outlay of many competing solutions”.
“While we have an established presence in the UK, this is the first time Armor has been made available via distribution in the region,” added Woodward.
Last November, Tech Data launched the second phase of its AWS Path through the Tech Data Cloud Practice Builder scheme for resellers. The offering provides partners who are new or just getting started with AWS with training, support and enablement resources to start delivering solutions to customers.
