Tech Data has taken the wraps off an enhanced range of software asset management services through a collaboration with Softline Solutions, a provider of SAM and license management services. The two companies say they have developed a “tailored offering” for managed service providers, enabling improved accuracy and efficiency in their monthly consumption reporting and related processes, such as billing.
Tech Data’s customers can take advantage of the services, including access to Softline Solutions’ team of experts, without any upfront investment or commitment to a minimum number of registered devices.
Denis Fouquet, Tech Data vice president for software and cloud in Europe, said: “This license management service is a unique combination of a cutting edge value proposition from Tech Data and the knowledge and expertise of Softline Solutions. The offering fully aligns with the lean business model required for the MSP market.”

Last month, Tech Data Europe opened a security centre of excellence in the UK to serve the European market, while at the same time planning to double its security headcount in the country over six months.
