Tech Data is hunting for resellers to push Google Workspace for Education – previously known as G Suite Enterprise for Education, following its rebranding earlier this year.
The move to add partners come as Tech Data looks to identify potential business opportunities in the education sector as schools rethink IT strategy ahead of the summer.
“Schools have made big changes during the past year and over the summer break many will be looking at ways to deliver the kind of interaction and collaboration that pupils need, while also keeping costs firmly under control,” said Matt Child (pictured), managing director, Advanced Solutions at Tech Data, UK and Ireland.
“Google Workspace for Education is perfect for them. We see a big opportunity for partners to proactively sell into the primary and secondary sectors this summertime. We want to onboard more partners, so that they can be ready to take full advantage as soon as schools are ready to make their buying decisions,” Child added.
Google Workspace for Education claims to provide schools with a variety of features including collaboration, enhanced productivity, flexible communication, organisation of tasks, and protection against digital security threats.
Tech Data partners can benefit from online training and support for the software, assistance with marketing, and have access to an array of finance options that make it easier for them to resell the solution to schools.
In addition to providing GBP£1.8bn worth of credit to the channel, Tech Data also supplies partners with subscription options that enable hardware, software, and services to be rolled into a single contract via its Tech-as-Service scheme.
Trade-in values on out-dated equipment are also offered through Tech Data Renew, with all devices properly recycled or refurbished. Tailored leasing options are also available, Tech Data said.
