Zyxel's new channel head aims to turn VARs into MSPs

Zyxel has named David Soares as its new Executive Vice President of Channel Sales and Marketing for EMEA and North America. He has been working with Zyxel since 2017 as VP of North American sales. His aim is to help value-added resellers to evolve their offerings and become managed service providers (MSPs).

“Zyxel is the only networking vendor to offer a truly complete portfolio of SMB networking products ranging from advanced security gateways with comprehensive malware detection, switches, and wireless access points all under the Nebula cloud-managed network platform.  Nebula is the perfect network management platform for our VARs to use to help them make the transition to becoming Managed Service Providers.  We be helping VARs who want to make the transition to becoming MSPs” says Soares.

He will be working with his team to identify channel growth opportunities and strategies to help Zyxel’s channel partners drive their own business for more growth and profitability. He brings 30 years of industry insight to drive channel growth, with a 16-year career at Netgear and 12 years in management at Hayes Modems.
