Distributor Tech Data now has a pan-European agreement with Channel Tools, a provider of a mobile platform for content distribution and interactive event applications. The agreement with Channel Tools is being rolled out in a phased approach across Europe from now, starting with an immediate focus on the UK.
It gives Tech Data’s customers access to Integrit, Channel Tools’ mobile engagement platform, a customisable framework for development of mobile and web applications, for use in areas such as events and hospitality, healthcare, and entertainment, amongst others. The platform supports the integration of physical devices such as Bluetooth beacons, enabling features around proximity-based notifications and way-finding, and offering an enriched experience for customers’ mobile users, it says.
Craig Smith, vice president, IoT and Analytics Solutions, Europe, at Tech Data, says, “Channel Tools provides a rich experience in the mobile engagement space, and the agreement enables us to offer additional new combined IoT offerings to our customers. They will have access to the Integrit platform for their end-user customers, as the demand for mobile-user interfaces for IoT applications becomes increasingly important to support mobile customer and workforce approaches."
Kewal Gupta (pictured), founder, of Channel Tools says, “Channel Tools aspires to connect the business world with the achievable true value of mobile and IoT. It is crucial that we work with an industry-leading technology and distribution partner that has the right vision in order to gain access to this huge market opportunity. As a leading global IT distributor, Tech Data is the ideal partner to drive mobile and IoT solutions, like our Integrit platform, through its wide network of customers across Europe.”
