Rapidly expanding EET Europarts has acquired France and Spain point of sale and automatic ID solutions distributor JANIPOS. Primarily focusing on the SME market, JANIPOS has been active in the market for over 20 years.
The capture comes after numerous other companies pan-European distributor EET has acquired over the last 18 months, particularly in the AV, digital signage and POS markets.
Richard Gregoire, EMEA POS business line director at EET Europarts, said: “We are convinced that this acquisition will enable us to enhance our positioning in France and Spain, in an area where our customers are demanding more and more competencies and an 'a la carte' type of service.”
JANIPOS’ brands such as Epson, Honeywell, Bixolon and Cipherlab are already partners of EET Europarts. But other additional brands will now be added to the EET portfolio.
With the acquisition, EET will take over a dedicated sales and support team and a total of 20 experienced employees.
Armand Marcos, chairman of JANIPOS, said: “For the last two decades we have grown the business to the impressive company it is today, with a level of service that complements the world-class manufacturers we represent. We are confident this is the right next step for JANIPOS.”
The JANIPOS range includes POS terminals, touch screens and programmable keyboards. EET has 28 sales offices in 25 countries across Europe, and employs almost 600.
