Mitel has entered into an exclusivity agreement with Atos to acquire its UC business, Unify.
The deal extends Mitel's product and services portfolio, expands its client base to 75m users across 100 countries, and takes its channel community to over 5,500 global partners.
Mitel’s Tarun Loomba will head the merged business as President and CEO, with additional members of the management team to be selected by both firms during the closing of the transaction.
Loomba said: “The addition of Unify’s portfolio, partners and talent would significantly expand Mitel’s scale and offerings, enabling us together to offer customers even greater choice and flexibility throughout the lifecycle of their business communications.”
